B/a 2013 Parliamentary Elections TBT ENTIRELY

B/ b By-elections:

* First Amman

As result of notification to the IEC by the Chairman of House of Representatives on the vacancy of the parliamentary seat in the first circuit/ Capital Governorate on 17.09.2013, the date 09.11.2013 was determined as the voting date, in implementation of provisions of article No. 88 of the constitution and article No. (58a/1) of the Law of Elections. IEC received the candidacy applications for a period of three days from 05-07/10/2013. The day 30/10 was the last day for withdrawal.

* Second Amman:

As result of notification to the IEC by the Chairman of House of Representatives  on the vacancy of the parliamentary seat in the second circuit/ Capital Governorate, the date 20.04.2013 was determined as the voting date, in implementation of provisions of article No. 88 of the Constitution and article No. (58a/1) of the Law of Elections. IEC received the candidacy applications for a period of three days from 23-25/03/2013.

* Fourth Karak:

As result of notification to the IEC by the Chairman of House of Representatives on the vacancy of the parliamentary seat in the fourth circuit/ Karak on 17.09.2013, the date 09.11.2013 was determined as the voting date, in implementation of provisions of article No. 88 of the constitution and article No. (58a/1) of the Law of Elections. IEC received the candidacy applications for a period of three days from 05-07/10/2013. The day 30/10 was the last day for withdrawal.

* Second Irbid:

As result of notification to the IEC by the Chairman of House of Representatives on the vacancy of the parliamentary seat in the second circuit/ Irbid on 09.10.2014, the date 29.11.2014 was determined as the voting date. In addition, the time of candidacy for these elections was determined throughout a period of 3 days from 26-28 October 2015.

* Second Karak:

As result of notification to the IEC by the Chairman of House of Representatives on the vacancy of the parliamentary seat in the second circuit/ Karak on 01.11.2015, the date 19 December 2015 was determined as the voting date, in implementation of provisions of article No. 88 of the constitution and article No. (58a/1) of the Law of Elections. IEC received the candidacy applications for a period of three days from 15-17/11/2015.

* Sixth Karak:

Amman Court of Appeal, by virtue of its resolution No. (…. /2013), has ruled the parliamentary elections in the sixth local electoral circuit in Karak Governorate to be invalid, and the Commission determined  Saturday, 04 May 2013 as the voting date in this circuit, but the withdrawal of the candidates prevented the Commission from holding these elections and the Commission has declared the winning candidate by acclamation.
